PDF Form Tools

First identify whether a PDF contains interactive fields. A printed blank line or an image of a form is not an editable AcroForm field. Creating fields and filling an existing interactive form are separate tasks.

Use field-data tools when you need identifiers and values for an integration. Renaming changes identifiers rather than visible labels, so systems that refer to old field names may need updates.

Test the saved form in the intended PDF reader. Flattening produces static appearances and removes the field interaction, so keep a working original if you expect further editing or data collection.
